Tamil Nadu government had earlier rescheduled the March examination to

the pandemic. Instead of the papers, the DGE has decided to award the
marks to the students based on their internal assessment of half yearly
and quarterly examinations as well as on their attendance.
As per
the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, 80% of the marks for SSLC
examination would be based on the marks scored by the students in their
half yearly and quarterly examinations. As for the remaining 20%, the
marks would be awarded based on the attendance of the child in the
school.
TN SSLC Passing criteria
As a general rule, students
are required to score a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in each subject
to pass the examination. For subjects like Science with practical
examination, students must score 20 out of 75 marks in theory paper and
15 out of 25 marks in practical paper to be declared pass.
The
government has not shared any relaxation in the promotion criteria and
it is expected to remain the same. Though it had announced that all
students who were to appear for the 10th public examinations would be
promoted, there is still no clarity if the passing criteria has been
tweaked or if necessary grace marks would be awarded
